Sports Med Recovery (SMR) supports healthcare providers who treat patients during the recovery process following injury, orthopedic conditions, and related medical care.
Recovery often extends beyond what occurs in the clinical setting. Many patients require specialized medical equipment to help manage pain, support healing, maintain mobility, and assist the body as it recovers. SMR works with providers to ensure patients have access to the equipment commonly used to support these stages of recovery.
We specialize in supporting providers treating patients across several healthcare systems, including Tricare, State Workers’ Compensation, Federal Workers’ Compensation (OWCP / DOL), Veterans Affairs, and Personal Injury. Each of these environments has different requirements, regulations, and clinical considerations. Our team understands these differences and helps ensure the appropriate equipment is delivered to support patient care.
Sports Med Recovery provides access to durable medical equipment commonly used in musculoskeletal recovery and rehabilitation, including orthopedic bracing, electrical stimulation therapy, photobiomodulation therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, cold compression therapy, and DVT prevention devices. These technologies are frequently used to help address pain, inflammation, circulation, and mobility challenges that can occur during the recovery process.
Our role is to support providers by ensuring patients receive the equipment needed to continue recovery outside of the treatment setting. By helping bridge the gap between clinical care and at-home recovery, we aim to support better patient outcomes and improved recovery experiences.
